About The Event
The Chevy Chase, MD Lamaze Childbirth Educator Seminar is being taught by Jamie Mueller, LCCE, in partnership with Birthing Babies VA.
Seminar Logistics:
Birthing Babies VA’s seminar is a three day total immersion experience aimed at teaching prenatal educators about using evidence to support their teaching, how to’s of teaching women of childbearing age, and preparing for certification/launching their childbirth education business.
Fees:
The tuition for all seminars is $500/person and is expected at the time of registration. All seminars have an Early Bird Discount ($50 off) for those registering and paying 45 days prior to seminar start. Registration will not be considered complete until payment in full is received. Seminar Requirements:
In order to successfully complete the seminar participants are expected to:
- Submit application and payment prior to the start of seminar.
- Attend and participate in the entire three day seminar.
- Teach an assigned topic from Lamaze’s Six Healthy Birth Practices on Day 3 of the seminar.

Business Building Webinars—After the seminar, join us for our monthly Business Building Webinars to make sure you are hitting your intended audiences.
Exam Prep Study Groups—Join us for a weekly, hosted, study group to make sure you are on the right track leading up to the Lamaze Exam! Offered twice annually in conjunction with the Lamaze Exams.
Newsletters—Email newsletters will make sure that you stay up to date with developments in childbirth education and business.
Grievance/Appeal Policy:
Complaints shall be submitted, in writing, to the Program Director within twenty (20) days of the occurrence or knowledge of the event upon which the grievance is based. The Program Director will deliver a suggested resolution, in writing, within five (5) days after the presentation of the grievance.
If the aggrieved person is not satisfied with the resolution of the grievance or if no decision has been rendered within five (5) days after presentation of the grievance, the student may file an appeal with the Accreditation Council within ten (10) days of the initial disposition. The Accreditation Council will speak with the aggrieved person and Program Director to discuss the complaint. The decision of the Accreditation Council shall be made in writing within ten (10) days from the receipt of the appeal. The Program Director agrees to be bound by the decision of the Accreditation Council.
Refund Policy:
For full refund program director must be contacted 30 days prior to the start of seminar. Special consideration may be given for refunds at the discretion of the program director.
